This is just a short post to do my bit for today’s protest being organised by parent bloggers against the killing of innocent children in Syria.
Over the last week the news has been full of horrific stories of the murder of children and innocent people in Syria.
I don’t profess to understand a huge amount about the politics etc. of the conflict, but whatever the political or religious issues and disputes of those involved there can be no excuse for murdering innocent children.
We are so lucky in the UK. We all have issues that we stand up for, whether they be political views, campaigning for rights and acceptance of disabled people etc. but the thing that we must always remember is that we are lucky to have the rights and systems that allow us to share those views openly without real fear of retribution or the fear that our children will be murdered because of our views.
There are several on-line petitions and letters that you could sign to help stop the killing in Syria. I believe we can all do a little bit to raise awareness and ask the UN and governments to support interventions to stop this killing.
